I love blueberries and most people do as well but they are very expensive to buy at the grocery store or market. They are high in antioxidants, taste great and are a delicious and nutritious snack or meal but buying them can be very very expensive. I decided that I needed to find a cost effective way to get the delicious nutritious blueberries so I looked into growing my own. I don’t have a green thumb so I was rather skeptical that I would be able to grow them myself. I came across the Little Giant Blueberries plant. I placed my order online and they were shipped to me fast. For 10$ plus shipping and handling I was sent not one but three plants that were ready to plant as soon as I received them. I planted the 3 plants and followed the easy care instructions. I was amazed that even I was able to grow some of the most delicious plump juicy blueberries right in my own backyard.

I was able to plant the Little Giant Blueberries plants easily. They claimed I would be able to grow them in sun or shade. To test this I put one in the shade area, one in a sunny area and one that would get a mix of sun and shade. I was shocked at how all three plants grew perfectly, properly, easily and yielded similar harvests from each. It was great to be able to pick 4 pints of blueberries per day! My family loves blueberries so this was amazing! It was like having an at home, season long blueberry festival in my own yard. My kids loved that they were able to pick them right off the plant themselves. My son was learning how to count to higher numbers and do some math so he had fun counting how many blueberries each plant produced. We counted them together and when we did the math, I was amazed to see that there were over 16 000 blueberries from each plant. The blueberries weren’t the small little ones that I was used to buying in the store, these were giant blueberries that were plump, juicy and full of powerful antioxidants.

My family loved that they could wake up in the morning, pick fresh blueberries to put into their cereal, eat straight from a bowl or to throw into their smoothies. I was able to make some of my famous blueberry crumble pies for a fraction of the cost had I bought them in a store. 4 pints in the store could cost me up to 40$ so I was very happy to know all the money I saved by growing the blueberries myself for an investment of a mere 10$. I was also comforted in knowing that these blueberries were organic and that I grew them myself. There is a money back guarantee in case I wasn’t satisfied but there was no chance that I would ever need it because I was more than satisfied. My family loves the blueberries and we will be using these every season.
